Jackie Care presents:

Happy Millsmont home

about this home's

If you are looking for wonderful outdoor spaces and a charming home this may be the place for you! Imagine sitting on your covered front porch and listening to birdsong on this level Millsmont street.  Lovely light living rooms are graced with a divine number of windows and pretty original built-ins and architectural detailing. The rooms have been freshly painted and the wood floors gleam in the sunshine.

The two original bedrooms are positioned off the hallway and share a bathroom which has had some updates. At the rear of the house is a very large room reflected as a third bedroom on the public records. The current owners used it as a family and multipurpose space, and it opens directly onto an amazing park like yard. In one of the generous sized closets is the conveniently tucked away laundry.

The good sized kitchen has just been refreshed with a beautifully installed Oak floor, cabinets have been painted and ceiling lights replaced. The vintage stove adds charm to this heart of the home, and there is a separate entrance from the driveway.
I don’t usually wax lyrical about driveways, but this one is quite a work of art! It’s wide, level and looks almost new and stretches way back on the lot to an equally spacious 2 car garage.

Buyers will see opportunities for play or parking on the driveway, updating the garage as a workshop or other, planting or landscaping in the back yard, or investigating an additional structure.
The yard is exceptional with no neighbors feeling right on top of you, glorious open sky and mature trees nearby.

You’re close to several neighborhoods, The Laurel, Maxwell Park, Redwood Heights and San Leandro, as well as easy access to freeways, East Bay parks and many local amenities.

Neighborhood Gallery

3926 Delmont Avenue

Nestled in the foothills of East Oakland, Millsmont is one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in the High East Bay area. The neighborhood’s real estate features a unique mix of architectural styles, including those of the Spanish, Mission, and cottage-type homes. Residents of Millsmont enjoy easy access to Interstate 580, which hugs the northeastern border of the community, which makes commuting to/from Oakland and San Francisco a breeze. Mills College, located on the northwestern border of Millsmont, is one of the most historic liberal arts universities in the United States.
The beautiful campus of Mills College is so close and welcoming to the public. You can swim, listen to concerts and visit art galleries there - or just walk around its verdant grounds.

Having the ability to enjoy a nice public park is an added bonus for Oakland residents, Millsmont residents enjoy easy access to Concordia Park. Not only is the neighborhood hugged by I-580, it is also a short drive from the CA 13, which provides a direct route to popular landmarks such as Temescal Regional Recreation Area and Holy Names University. For those who prefer to use public transit, a short walk to the Camden St/MacArthur Boulevard bus stop takes passengers to the heart of San Francisco via the NL Transit Route. Whether residents prefer the bus or hitching a ride to the nearby Coliseum BART Station, Millmont is only a 60-75 minute ride to the Financial District and Google headquarters.
Living in Millsmont you are near Maxwell Park as well as The Laurel district, Redwood Heights and San Leandro.
The Laurel district is the nearby shopping and dining area; MacArthur Boulevard with mom-and-pop businesses and eateries serving as its main artery. Communite Table is the new fashionable approach to dining either at the restaurant or to go. Gerardo’s Restaurant serves up authentic Mexican dishes, Phnom Penh House provides Cambodian and Asian fusion entrees and Full House Cafe is a busy breakfast and brunch restaurant. The local Ace Hardware store and Farmer Joe's are great resources and places to bump into friends. Residents demonstrate neighborhood pride at the annual Laurel Street Fair, which celebrates local food and music.
